Graduate Data Scientist
An exciting opportunity for data scientists with a flair for realtime visualisations and predictive modelling to join our Analytics team. This role will see you delivering cutting edge analytics and simulations to solve a diverse array of problems in airports, museums, theatres, workplaces, stadia, campuses.

With the role of Data Scientist you have an opportunity to drive this disruption behind the future of Buildings and Cities. The work is highly varied and challenging. It will involve analysis as well as consulting. Defining the problems as well as solving them. Developing solutions as well as reporting. Desk work as well as field work and client meetings. Applying emerging technologies as well as steering the development of in-house software tools. You would be working on international projects with first principles based problem solving, advanced data analytics, predictive modelling, and simulations.
We are interested in candidates who are dynamic, enthusiastic and organised to work independently across all aspects of projects from inception to delivery.
Data analytics platform development – including our SmartViz product for intuitive 3D platform for visualising, analysing and predictive modelling (used for Vodafone, High Line NY, University of North Carolina, etc.)
Simulation tools development – including our flagship product SmartMove for realtime simulation of people movement.
Numerous consultancy projects such as:
Lower Manhattan, NY – modelling of a typical day in life of Lower Manhattan, to improve transport planning, pedestrian access, wayfinding, congestion, air quality and waste collection.
London City Airport, UK – modelling passenger flows within the reconfigured terminal to optimise automatic check-in stations; operational parameters, such as immigration staffing; as well as security parameters.
Museum of the Future, Dubai – spatial analysis and optimisation of design and operations for this iconic venue for a diverse range of visitors, activities and scenarios.
What would I do?

And seeing the outcome and impact of your work realised on the buildings and urban projects you work on.
- You would be working on international projects with first principles based problem solving, advanced data analytics, predictive modelling, and real-time simulations.
- Work across a number of projects from a diverse range of sectors.
- Hone your analytics and modelling skills (experience with statistical analysis, data visualisation, graphics, 3D modelling or GIS environment will be desirable)
- Providing day to day design and management advice to architects and clients.
- Learn how to deliver top quality crowd flow consultancy working with our international clients and stakeholders.
- Contribute fresh ideas in group meetings and team discussions.
